Finding a fluoride-free toothpaste with a genuinely clean formula is harder than it sounds, so this one stood out immediately. The ingredient list is short, readable, and mostly plant-based, which is exactly what I look for.
The 10% nano-hydroxyapatite is the star ingredient here — it is widely studied as a natural alternative to fluoride for remineralizing enamel. The formula also includes xylitol, arginine, zinc citrate, neem bark, and licorice root extract, all of which have recognized roles in oral health support. The prebiotic element comes from chicory root oligosaccharides, which is a thoughtful addition for microbiome-conscious consumers.
Sweetened naturally with monk fruit and stevia, and flavored with peppermint and spearmint oils, the taste is pleasant without being overwhelming.
The toothpaste leaves teeth feeling clean and smooth, and the mint flavor is refreshing without being harsh.
Pros:
• Clean, transparent, and mostly plant-based ingredient list
• 10% nano-hydroxyapatite for enamel remineralization
• Fluoride-free
• Natural sweeteners only
• Prebiotic support included
• Pleasant mint flavor
Cons:
• Made in India, which some consumers may want to note
• Long-term whitening results take consistent use to evaluate
Overall, a well-formulated fluoride-free toothpaste with a clean ingredient list that is easy to feel confident about. A great option for anyone looking to make a more mindful switch in their oral care routine.
My wife swears by hydroxyapitite toothpaste. 10% seems to be the recommended amount, and this has it. It leaves your teeth feeling very smooth after brushing. The flavor of is listed as 'sweet mint'. It has a definite sweetness thanks to the stevia in it. The mint is much milder. When you open the box, it seems like it's pretty strong, but in reality you only get a hint of it. The sweetness is the dominate flavor you get from it. One thing I did notice is that I don't seem to need as much of it as compared with my regular toothpaste. I think half as much is just about sufficient to get the job done. The amount in the picture was too much. That makes it a little bit better value, I guess, as this tube should last quite a while. I hear the claims about nHAp toothpaste, but I'm still a bit skeptical. For now I'm doing my old fluoride toothpaste in the morning and this stuff before bed.
I love this stuff. It does a great job at healing my dry skin, and it makes me happy knowing that the natural ingredients are good for my skin. Thank you, Primal Basics!
I use this moisturizer daily- a little goes a long way. I love the light-weight soufflé feel of the moisturizer. It glides on smoothly and once absorbed, it nourishes my skin.
It smells so good too!!
very pleasant scent, blends nicely with others. I've always used the unscented but find this a nice alternative. The texture is slightly different than the unscented, more airy.
